Description- After tragedy strikes an adventure seeking young woman, her friends decide to draw her out for a new, daring exploration. When their ambition gets the best of them, they discover they are not alone and a battle of survival ensues.

Viewing- Probably sixth time or more!

Good for- A sit-down, pay attention, monster thrill ride.

Fair warning- Claustrophobia warning. You may never look at your female friends the same.

Thoughts- This is one of my favorites! I didn't see it when it came out because I do have a bit of claustrophobia and honestly, most chick flicks don't appeal to me. I mean...a cast of all women? Heartwarming is not my thing. These ladies kick ass! The creatures are brilliant and it's not spoiled by clear explanations. They just ARE. 

Slightly whiney moments. Some of the women kind of blend together, but it's almost purposeful. Brilliantly strong casting. Amazingly simple script. The story not told is equally strong. Creatures and affects are spot on. 

If you never saw this- keep expectations low and allow yourself to be swept into this one. It's simple, but it will stay with you.
